Just got my marks back today from the november canadian DAT and im pretty bummed out about my scores.
reading 21
science 19
academic average 20
perceptual 19
carving 14 (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) 🙁 🙁

I applied already to uofa but since they require 15 as a miniumum for these sections i guess my application is worthless.

does anyone have tips for improving carving skills? i thought i was quite prepared but i thought wrong🙁

oh and which schools put less emphasis on the carving part?

those scores are solid man. i just got my dats back also..22/21/19 but i got an 8 on carving ! haha. ask me if i care? nope. university of toronto doesn't care about carving..so maybe give them a try. this year's pattern was really hard..lots of good ppl went down fighting against that fluted end square..a 14 is still not that bad a score if you ask me. most schools have lower carving cutoffs than 15. and maybe they will make an exception for you since you're only below the cutoff by 1.

ok thanks for the reply it helps.
Ill still try manitoba, i think they emphasize RC. Ill also look into uoft but it seems very competitive there.
