Did I apply to late?

I just recently e-submitted my PTCAS application and paid for it via a credit card. They received my transcripts a week ago, however; it states on the website that it can take up to 4-6 weeks to process. I submitted on September 4th and one of the schools I applied for has a deadline of October 1st. What do you think are my chances of PTCAS getting my application done on time? I am quite nervous that I applied too late, but I did apply to others that had a more extended deadline. Has anyone had the experience where PTCAS took less time then expected? Thanks for any input!

Here is how PTCAS responded to that question.

"The deadline indicates when your materials must arrive at PTCAS (and not at the program). That information is found here: www.ptcas.org/DeadlinesByDate"

To me it sounds like as long as you get the materials turned in before the deadline, you should be fine. Can anyone confirm?

What matters is the time you submit your materials to PTCAS and even then schools might be a little lenient. I applied last year and forgot to submit some transcripts from courses I took in high school so my application wasn't complete until long after the deadline. The schools still reviewed my application and I was invited for an interview at each school. I wasn't accepted anywhere and one of the schools did ask why I applied so late but I think applying now is totally fine.

Hey it depends on your luck. I read that too on PTCAS but for some reason instead of taking 4-6 weeks as stated on the website, PTCAS took 4 days. I submitted my application on the 2nd of September and I got an e-mail back on the 6th saying it was verified and would be sent in the next cycle.

Yeah, I don't know how it works. My application was complete on Sept 1 but mine still hasn't been verified, despite being submitted and complete a day before the above poster. Now I'm worried something is wrong... haha

Was this your first time applying? Maybe if you're a re-applicant it doesn't take as long to process the application?
