MD & DO Did you have a hard time getting an apartment before residency?

Since most med students haven't held a job in 4 years, how do you manage to get an apartment? Does your match letter count for anything? Did you need a cosigner?

I've not heard of anyone having issues getting housing. Usually you'll get a contract pretty early on in the process and that should work for both renting or getting a mortgage as a proof of income.
