What is the best way to prevent another failure on this exam? I used kaplan resources, golijan, UW, and still failed the exam. Some people say FA should be good for passing, but what are your experiences for those who failed the first time and passed the second? Please HELP😕

Take in a deep breath and let it out.

Then, go see (in person, if possible) someone in your school administration who you feel you can talk to.

There's over a thousand students/year who don't pass the first time. You're definitely not alone.

How did you do on practice tests up to the exam? Did you feel prepared the first time? Did your scores reflect this?

ive heard falcon live review is the best way for first time non passers to guarantee passing the second time. how close were you? if its just a few points you can probably do it on your own, if its a lot you probably need them. they are quite quite pricey though.

I don't have any experiences about people who retake, but just from everyone at my school and reading everyone's threads at SDN...FA covers 85% of what you need to know. Everyone told me to go over it 2-3 times before the exam...then use other subject review books on top of that since FA is only review and will not provide adequate explanations for things. Many people at my school used BRS phys./path, Goljan lectures, Goljan review book...just depends on what you need more explanation on outside of FA. Don't worry...I'm sure you can pass using resources that better suit your needs! But it seems like FA is pretty darn crucial as a base to go off of.

If you dont like FA, try using StepUp, which is another good source for anti-FA folks. They have better diagrams and charts are very helpful. Also, try to incorrporate RR into your studying. Not sure how much time you have but RR helped solidify a lot of the key concepts. for neuro, use high yield (the bomb!) :luck:
