My professors recently submitted LORs electronically on AADSAS. I didn't waive because I wanted to see what they wrote, but I can't find anything on the site that allows for me to view the files. I just see the date of submission.

Can someone please tell me how to view the electronic letters? Thanks!

question: whats the big difference b/w waiving the right or not waiving it? Does it matter?

Letters that are not waived have less value to them because schools will assume the writer will not be as open about their opinions on the applicant. Writers may be afraid the student may lash back at them if the student is able to read the letter.

to the best of my knowledge, you cant view them online. you should have asked the professor for a copy.

You can't view them through AADSAS.

Letters of reccomendation should always be confidential. As was mentioned, a confidential letter will hold a lot more weight because it allows for an honest letter and also shows that you are confident enough in yourself to know that the letter will say good things.

🙁 I'm having major regrets for not waiving my right to view the letters. I guess curiosity got the best of me and I thought they would be viewable on AADSAS. I guess there isn't much I can do now.

Dont sweat it too much. A great letter is still a great letter.
