hey everyone
I have ExamKrackers books for MCAT with the audio lectures.

So my questions is how different is MCAT science from DAT science?
Should I use ExamKrackers to study for DAT?

I took my first DAT last year and got the following scores. I used ALL kaplan stuff --> book and online) nothing else. I thought i would use different material this time to fill in the missing info from kaplan material.
Please let me know what you think.

Thanks 🙂 🙂🙂

Well, MCAT sciences are based on passages with a few discrete questions, DAT is all discretes. The discrete questions you find on the MCAT are very similar to the questions on the DAT.

DAT requires a decent amount of ecology while the MCAT does not. If you study out of an MCAT book you'll need to pick up some supplemental sources to learn the characteristics of non human species etc

MCAT reading comprehension has a lot more tone / induction type questions while DAT focuses more on finding discrete bits of information in passages.

If you're having trouble w/ the tone type questions, MCAT reading is a good way to get better at them, although I found them to be much more difficult than the tone questions asked on the real DAT.

If the DAT discretes really are similar to the MCAT discretes, I'd definitely recommend picking up EK 1001 Questions in MCAT ___________ (physics/chemistry/organic)

From what I saw of the MCAT prep, DAT orgo is harder. And bio, as said above, definitely ranges more widely: ecology, some characteristics of other phyla/genera, etc.
