What's the difference between the two different Kaplan materials?

I'm looking at some reviews, and some say that one is "horrible", so does that mean the other is better?

Kaplan DAT with CD-ROM: Third Edition (Kaplan Dat (Dental Admission Test))
OR
Kaplan DAT with CD-ROM, 2007-2008 Edition (Kaplan Dat (Dental Admission Test))

Any ideas/thoughts? I am retaking the DAT, and I only have 10 days to prepare...help!😀

It is exactly the same..I mean the practice test in the book and the one on the CD are both exactly word for word..in the same order...Nothing is different about the two books.

So please don't waste your money

Page for page identical books. There is one graphic in the organic chemistry section that they changed around page 410-420. The written section says look at the above COOH but the picture shows an aldehyde. This glaring error was corrected between editions. Other than that - identical materials.

The only better thing from Kaplan is the Notes version they use for classes(same outline and test review material but with more review questions after each section) and their Organic Chemistry Edge book which focuses exclusively on o chem with good review questions and tests. You can find all of it used on amazon, or get it free from busdent.

Yes. Quite often these test prep books put out a "new edition" for two reasons.

(1) to discourage people borrowing the "old" version from their friends, or purchasing it on ebay (because the newer version *must* be more accurate to the current test.. right??)

(2) to justify an increase in price



From what it sounds like, some of these prep books have gotten sloppy, and are doing little (no?) updating. Personally I cannot confirm this, but the reasons listed above are well known.
