Differences between step up to medicine vs. Step up to step 2??

step up to medicine is 560 pages

step up to step 2 is 352 (kinda wierd bc I am assuming it covers all cores yet is 2/3 the size of step up to medicine)?

(does step up to step 2 include most of the material covered in step up to medicine?)

Step to Medicine is far more detailed than Step up to Step 2. Step Up Medicine is widely regarded as the go to source for the internal medicine shelf exam, and from personal experience, I think it is spot on for that purpose. I haven't used Step Up to Step 2, but it seems to be gaining popularity with some for Step 2 prep, along with Usmle World (which is essentially what DIT for Step 2 uses), but for the purposes of the internal medicine shelf exam, Step Up Medicine + MKSAP 3 or 4 + USMLE World is regarded as the best prep to ace the shelf. I think many others on this forum would concur.
