Differing Start Dates

How does the application/waiting process work out, with different DPT programs starting in different semesters?

I will finish my bachelor's degree this coming May, and hope to start PT school after that. However, the programs I am looking at vary in their start semesters... Has anyone had experience in working these out/having to wait to hear from a school?

Say you are going to graduate undergrad in Spring 2012... You will have already applied in Summer 2011 for a Summer/Fall 2012 start... so, as long as you get accepted, you'll know what you're doing!
