I was wondering what everyone thought about using the AADSAS application? Was it hard to work with? Suggestions when filling it out? How long did it take? Thanks!

haha. it's scarry hitting that submit button.

1. Have your personal statement and etc typed out in a word document before the application opens.

2. Do a spell check of all of your typed responses on word before submitting your application.

3. Have a copy of your transcript ready in your hands when filling the application. You have to fill in your own course name, course number, and grade EXACTLY as it appears on your transcript. I think the transcript filling part took the longest out of the whole application. I think this section took me at least 1.5 hours.

work from the checklist.. It's easiest to see what you have and havent completed.

If you have all of your information (extra curricular hours, personal statement, transcript, etc.) is it realistic to think that you could open your AADSAS account and submit it all in one day?

I'm thinking about taking June 1st off from work and doing it all in one sitting.

At UT we have what's called a "Pre-Professional File" that will have 3 Letters of Evaluation and 3 LORs (2 science and 1 non-science).
Do I need to get those letters and submit them to AADSAS or will having UT sumbit them to the schools suffice?
Also, a letter from a Dentist, would I need them to send me the letter so I can submit it or do they mail it to the school???

Thanks for the input!

I think so

I did my undergrad at the U of U too. I had the pre-prof. office send them out, but make sure to see what each school wants. I had one school not accept my letters becuase they did not come from AADSAS. I had the DDS that I shadowed send it in to the pre-prof, but I did most of my shadowing through Dr. Mirci's second class, Bio 4080, so it had to go straight to him and then to pre-prof office. I think that you are never suppose to see those letters.
