How does hypothyroid and hypoxic state cause digitalis toxicity?

re: hyopthyroi. I bet it has something to do with Dig binding to Thyroid binding globulin and causing a decrease in free T4.

not sure about Hypoxia.

or is it because hypothyroid causes down regulation of all Na/k pump(???) , anything to do with K level? I don't know I am just guessing because thyroid hormone is required for metabolism............and u need these pumps to be active in so many metabolic fxn?????????????
