Dilema on Transcripts

I'm pretty pissed right now but the good thing is that I have been able to keep calm and relax about the whole situation. However, my language will be a little tense so be forewarned now.

I requested a freakin transcript from my school on Oct. 27th for my summer grades And pharmcas still hasnt gotten it yet! Pharmcas already has my previous transcripts for other semesters. What the heck is going on? The last transcript that I sent to pharmcas got there in 2 weeks. So If I do a
NEW transcript request from my school, that would take two weeks to get to pharmcas and get processed. I also have a deadline to meet by 12/01 for 2 pharmacy schools. I already SENT them my supplemental application fee. And I read that if the transcripts dont arrive by the time of the deadline my application gets canceled by those schools. So does that mean they get to keep my free supplemental application check? That would be unfair.

I would bet if the check has been cashed that it is too late to get it back, but I know three of the four schools I had to get transcripts from had a rush service. For two schools that means my transcript was out the next day. The third one it went out the same day. Hopefully your school has a similar policy (It cost me $5 bucks extra for rush, but at this point, what do you have to lose.)

This sounds liek an ineficient school, but needless to say try to go to the admissions office to ask if it was sent because it could have gotten lost in the mail. ALso u could call Pharmcas and find out if they have received it and just not sent it yet. Also maybe there was a fee you didnt make to your school which is holding the transcript or some other stuff like that.

Not to make u feel bad with the thanksgiving comeing up u would need to pray that your school would do rush deleivery( also u could say 'd pay for next day delivery).

At my school if you go to the registrar you can get an official sealed transcript issued to you in an envelope and everything (Just make sure it doesn't say student copy or issued to student or anything like that). Then you could take that transcript and mail it yourself overnight or whatever at the post office.

I don't know about that, all of my transcripts had to be addressed to the school. It dosen't say "student copy", but it still has your name on the envelope. I'd check before I did that.

It might not hurt to call the admissions office and talk to them about this it might not help, but it will certainly ease your mind and let you sleep at night. Maybe you have some unofficial transcripts that you can send them to hold them over until that time. Most pharmacy schools will have someone nice answering the phone that will help you out and give you the best advice. Make it happen now though, don't wait.

I forget if pharmcas requires it or not, but I know LLU requires the transcript to be mailed directly from the school. My school in AR has their own postmark which means you could tell if it was mailed from the school or somewhere other than the school. I'd be very cautious of having them give it to you and mailing it in youself (Even if it is the difference between overnighting it or not.)

Unfortunately my school doesnt have overnight shipping for transcripts that they can do for students like other schools do(even though mine is a university level school). I guess the best alternative is to contact the 2 pharm schools that have this deadline and find out what they can do.

How long does it normally take for pharmcas to RECIEVE a transcript from out-of state mail...such as from Washington?
