Before I ask the question, I think it would be beneficial if I told everyone the classes I have already taken in high school in order to help you guys give me much better advice.

2 Pre calculus courses- 3.00 - 6 units = 6.00/8.00
2 Foreign language courses - 3.7 10 units = 7.4/8.00
2 Philosophy courses - 4.00 6 units = 8.00/8.00
Currently Enrolled in English 1A at a Junior College (I hope and will try everything I possibly can to get an A)

Current GPA: 3.57
The part where I am having trouble with is Microeconomics. To make things clear, when I took the pre-calulus classes I had no idea that the courses would follow me for life and onto graduate school applications, which is why I didn't really try in the classes. But since then, I have always been paranoid about getting another B since my GPA is low already. This has been the case with microeconomics so far. I feel like the grading scale is hard and I can't make errors, which terrifies me with the possibility of a B. 🙁

The grading scale in the microeconomics class is:
10% Attendance (I'll miss .8% of this due to orientation) = 9.2%/10%
9% Homework (I should do it all)
36% Midterm (Curved; I will study hard, but I'm sure everyone else will at the Community college. The material isn't difficult so i'm scared that everyone will do well.)
45% Final (NO CURVE, 55 questions - very very very terrifying)

What would you do? Drop? Keep?

If 3.57 is your current college gpa then yes, i would reconsider staying in your microeconomics class. Also, if this is the only class bringing you down and if you don't need it then i would probably drop it too.

Yeah my GPA is 3.57 after 22 semester units.

Well the class doesn't seem TOO hard in that I'm keep up with the material and understanding, but what's hard is the uncertainty and grading. I won't have a midterm until AFTER the drop date without a W so I can't really see where I stand and the grading is somewhat harsh.

I will need the class for GE, but that's it.

So far the only thing holding me back is my dad. He says that I should stay in the course because it's not going to be any easier at your four year university and you want to get rid of GEs.

Someone have advice to tell my dad IF you think it's worth dropping?

Also, is my GPA in the red already. 🙁 ........ I always wish I had not taken those two classes in Sophomore year. Not f'in fair
