Dinosaurs in MS

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Almost every class has a few. I'm M2 and I'm 36. One of my classmates is 37. Look in the non-trad forum- there are many threads on this topic. Good luck!

Yes, it is more common than you think, we have 2-3 just in my class over the age of 45! let alone those that are over 30. From studying with these people, they are usually more steady, studious, and dedicated than the average post-bachelors, early twenties etc. Agree, check other threads.

Hi guys, is it common when somebody enters the MS in his/her late 30-s (37 years like in my case).
 I was going to be annoyed with your title until I realized you were the dinosaur in question.

I'm a tad young (34), but yes, we're out there!

Someone in my class is starting out at 41.

a dude in my class is 43 and on his 4th career: army, truck driver, nurse, and now medical student. he's been featured in about every area newspaper and radio station, a real "local celebrity" and a "class celebrity" as well (aka gunner.)

Yeh, we had some 40+ year olds in our class and they did just fine

I'll be a 40 yr old MS1 when I start this August.

We have a 41 y/o MS1. he used to work on wall street.

We have quite a few over 40, many in their late 20's and 30's, and even one woman who is in her early 50's. She is a former nurse and her husband is a radiology attending here.

Hmm... I don't think thats the definition of a gunner .... a gunner is your classic backstabbing, front-row sitting, brown-nosing, library-infesting, ultra-competitive jerk - whereas this guy sounds like a genuine deal.
