Do they typically ask the details associated with this pathway? I would think that this is an important topic but wasn't sure since I didn't see it in RR patho or FA. Any ideas?

I was wondering the same thing when I was studying neuro... I haven't come across any UW or NBME questions that required me to know that so far. I asked my Neuroscience prof about it actually and he said that the test generally doesn't get into that kind of detail (of course he hasn't taken it, but I'm sure he hears a lot about it from students)

FA had a good quick and dirty way of explaining it in the chart saying Dopamine excites the excititory pathway D1 and Inhibits the inhibitory pathway D2. Knowing much beyond that is probably overkill if it hasnt been covered in world.
