I am interested in Director of Rehab positions in SNF's and have not found any reliable sources for salary data. Does anybody have any insight on the typical salary range for a Director of Rehab/Physical Therapist?

I'm assuming that the Rehab Director earns slightly higher wages than the staff PT's, but does anybody have an idea how much more?

I saw a job posting in the Dallas area that offered $126,000 a couple of months ago. Not sure what typical salaries are for this position though.

Thanks. It is rare to find a similar job posting that explicitly states the salary, especially on the APTA website. Where did you see that job posted?

I remember a new DOR making six figures in a SNF about 6 years ago...but now the salary offered recently in the same setting was little more than a staff PT's wages, but less than a prn PT's hourly rate. I know it also varies from company to company and across the different settings, but the lower rates offered have just been what I've experienced recently.

Thank you. It sounds like you work in the SNF setting. Do you work as a DOR now or could you offer your general thoughts/opinions on the position?

jj, do you work in a SNF now? Do you enjoy the setting or just looking to make more money?
