I was just making a first-aid kit for my dogs and our long car ride to MSU and came across this resourceful article:

When I did pet First Aid/CPR training, disaster planning was absolutely hammered into the program. That eventually led to a project in another class about Hurricane Katrina and the (lack of) animal management that happened during that disaster.

You know, i dont live in a disaster area except maybe a national security threat so i don't really think about this. But who knows if there could ever be a flood or hurricane over here. Maybe even a house fire. And then i thought, i have NO plans if something were to happen.
