I was placed on probation at my school for an alcohol-related incident, but made it clear on my application, that I take it seriously, and that I have addressed things. My mcats are good (38), I went to a top 5 school, and have a high GPA (3.7), and I have lots of research experience/publications. Does anybody have any sense of what that might do to my chances? I took the august mcat and have only had one interview request so far (columbia). Any input would be nice.

I think that any school would forgive you for drinking in college. Alot of people do it, you were just unlucky and got caught. From what you say your an amazing candidate so don't dwell on it too much. If you admited fault for you mistake then that enough.
