Hey guys,
Is there a good source for common diseases that we need to know for the DAT?
What diseases have you guys seen on your practice tests?

Thanks

Genetic calculations often deal with commonly discussed diseases such as color-blindness, hemophilia, and other X-linked recessive diseases. Usually though they'd tell you what type of disease it is for the specific problem (AD/AR, XLD/XLR, etc.).

Genetic ones based on chromosome number seem also common (Turner and Down syndromes were the most commonly seen for me). Know which ones are monosomy and trisomy (terms like aneuploidy and polyploidy also pop up).

Aside from that, can't think any off the top of my head.

Probably the chromosomal diseases, HIV and sickle cell.

Never heard of those being on the test.
