I was interviewed by 2 people and one of them fell asleep on me. The awake interviewer kept glancing at the sleeping one nervously as if staring at him would arouse him. Like he thought I didn't notice when he fell asleep right in front of me. Should I just not care or should I ask for a re-interview?

I would not blame the interviewers. Perhaps if you were more engageing/ entertaining he would not have fallen asleep.

Maybe the interviewer was on-call the night before or has a sleep disorder. It is acceptable to wake them up. I don't think this happened because you were boring. If you really love the school, it is OK to ask for a re-interview.

I wouldn't ask for another interview outright. If anything, email the admissions office stating that it's a concern of yours, and ask what they think you should do.

Pretty funny scenario for us, but probably not for the OP. I wouldn't take it personally.

i think this is part of it; did they sleep early on in the interview, or at the end? what kind of Q were you answering? maybe if u rambled too much on a question like "describe yourself" they might have just lost focus since it is a pretty standard question, and i really doubt they care much about what you do in your spare time since most of your activities should be listed on your amcas application.

This is as hilarious as it is outrageous 😡 . Don't take it personal as I'm sure it's not you...who knows, your interviewer maybe suffering from narcolepsy or sleep deprivation - or both!

If you care to attend this school if accepted, then call or email the director of admissions ASAP, explain the situation and I'm sure they'd offer to reschedule you for another interview.

Next time, if you encounter a bad interview(er), don't wait until you get home and get on SDN to decide on what to do. Talk to the director of admissions IMMEDIATELY after your interview. Usually they'd match you up with another interviewer right away.

Didn't this happen on an episode of friends? In the friends episode, Ross woke up the interview and pretended like the interviewer offered him the job said "Thank you so much for the job offer, I'll see you Monday!"
You should have said he offered you a pre-emptive accetance when he woke up.

Question though, did he know he fell asleep? When he awoke did he apologize?

wow...thats pretty ridiculous...I would not ask for another interview personally...I would not take extra time to interview again somewhere...not to mention they probably will be concerned that you could not keep the interviewer from falling asleep...sux though
