I came to the decision to persue a career in medicine in April. I am now under contract in Japan, with other circumstances, (a rod in my arm that I need removed and no insurance in the US,) that will keep me here until next summer.
I am really anxious to get started accumulating the pre-reqs that I need to apply to medical school. I don't think that it is a good idea to persue any science credits online, but what about English? My undergrad college, (Austin College in Texas,) didn't require English to graduate. They said that since all courses were writing intensive, they do not require it. I have always hated English classes anyway, so...
What do you think about getting the English credits through distance learning?
I have found a program by Texas Tech that doesn't seem too bad.

What do you think about it? Do you reccomend any other programs?
Thanks for any advice!!

Oh, just get the damned credits any way you can. I can't believe that an aDCOM is going to care where the hell you got your english credits from. If they do, find another school. What BS.

Washington State University has a good distance program offering english courses.

Go to www.wsu.edu and click on DDP (distance program) to search for classes.

There are several more out there as well...
