Does anyone know traditionally what someone's chances are off of the alternate list?

I had called before I posted.

I was told we don't do anything with the waitlist till the spring.

So this really stinks. I hate alternate lists!!! Anyone know how it works? Any info would be appreciated.

Towards the end of the season (May through July, even) the waitlists move pretty fast. That's because people are making their final decision, and many people make last minute ones. So be patient, and if you've been accepted elsewhere, that's awesome. But you never know what's going to happen if you're on the alternate list. One of my classmates didn't find out until July, that she'd been accepted here. If you're really curious, you can call the Admission's Office and ask for feedback on your interview. It can help with your future interviews.
