Hey all, just wondering what is the closest and best hotel to DMU. 😀

Renaissance Savery seems GREAT to me!

Not from experience or anything but I booked it and it looks like it'll be very nice...Plus shuttles to/from the airport and DMU. If you say you're interviewing at DMU you get a really discounted rate.

hey,
were you not given a list of students willing to put you up for a night? i'm a first year here and i haven't been asked to put my name in yet, so i'm curious. when i interviewed, i stayed with a student two minutes from campus. it was a real bonus for insights and added info. and cheap! i just gave em a bottle of wine(they were a married couple). that's my $.02.
good luck
😡 :horns:

I'm staying with a DMU student for my interview (got their name off the list). I think it'll be really great to get a student's perspective. Also, the person I'm staying with is married, so I can get some insight as to how my husband will be affected by med school (providing I actually get in 🙂 ). I figured I'd make them dinner one night.

It felt kinda weird writing an email to someone I didn't know asking to spend the night, but they were really cool about it. I do know there is an anatomy exam on the 19th and a biochem exam on the 20th or 21st, so before that the students might be busy studying their a$$ off.

Renaissance Savery seems like the best choice if you don't want to intrude on students
