It seems like DMU really has a lot of popularity on SDN. And I know I loved the facilities. Does it seem to everybody else that if you're on the waitlist that your chances are limited...? I'm really wanting to go to DMU. 29 MCAT 3.08 GPA. Any feelings from those accepted or those attending currently, or those that are on the admissions board... If you're on the admissions board...Please move me to the front of the line or call me tomorrow. 🙂

On a side note, I have a good feeling about getting into KCUMB but am worried that I'll be depositing $2000 and then if I get into DMU that I'll be throwing that money down the drain. Other Interviews at Indiana, Drexel, and AZCOM. Probably (95%) going DO though.

Give them a call. They've been awesome about my questions when I call. I know of a ton of people who have been waitlisted. Talk to someone about how the waitlist works. Check to see if they rank you and how many spots are full right now. Good luck!

It just depends on how many people fall out and how many spots open up...it's going to vary from year to year. I got into the school I wanted from a waitlist by complete freak chance 2 weeks before school started this year....so I swear it is possible. I was on waitlists at 3 other schools, DMU being one and I never got off of it there. It really is just chance and YES it changes a lot at the last minute so it's possible...I thought I was gonna be applying again for another round. I got majorly lucky. Just remember it does happen! Just keep buggin em, that's all you cna do at this point and just keep sending them updates on what your doing if your taking a summer class, traveling bla bla bla.

Nothing you can really do but hope and wait.

Good News! I got in at KCUMB on Friday (3/17)! Now I just have to wait to see if I can get into DMU. At least I know now that I will go SOMEWHERE... I'm just going to cross my fingers about DMU. It just seems like the right place. But one thing's for sure...I'm gonna be a Doctor....SWEET

As a great doctor I knew once told me, "all it takes is one." I remember being in the same boat; I got an acceptance to LECOM-ERIE but I so loved DMU and all I wanted to do was to go there. I kept checking my email looking for the subject line DMU OFFER OF ACCEPTANCE. When I got it, I sent an email right back, like the geek I am. I wish you good luck in where ever you go.
