Do adcoms round up the GPA?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Goes to two decimal places, so it would be a 3.67.

I'm glad you asked this question, but they use two decimal places so it depends on what your full gpa is.

Also I have read that they round up if its above .005 for example if its 3.675 you will get it rounded to 3.68

However I hope someone can tell us if they will round a 3.673 or 3.674 up to a 3.68

No they won't. 0.01 won't matter, unless its a 'big' change that computers like, such as going from 2.99 to 3.00, or 3.49 to 3.50 or something.

I can't speak for every AdCom, but I doubt any of them would bother to go through such trouble to round something incorrectly.

As for the original question, there is a significant difference between, say, 3.65 and 3.74 and I don't see why any adcom would want to ignore that.

They don't see three decimal places. your GPAs are reported by AMCAS down to two decimal places. To the best of my knowledge, AMCAS does round up the third decimal place. So 3.67 = 3.67, 3.675 = 3.68.

But in reality, it probably doesn't matter at all.
