Do all physical therapists need to perform manual therapy?

Hi. I am a sophomore and my major is biology/pre-physical therapy. I recently started shadowing at a clinic and I have noticed that the PTA mostly performs manual therapy and uses a lot of modalities. Is that something that all PT's do because I do not think I would like to perform manual therapy. Could someone please clarify this for me? Thank you!

In short, no. If that's not your thing, go work in a PT setting that doesn't require much (or any) manual therapy (i.e. not outpatient orthopedics). Also, the PTAs are doing it mostly because they work under the PT. So in a way, that's another way out.
