I am about to submit my application to schools that do not have supplemental essays on the AADSAS website. I am still working on my supplemental essays for schools like NYU and BU. Will the schools that have supplemental apps have long essays for me to write as well or is it just a fee?

Some are just fees, but majority will make you jump through hoops with pretty extensive essays.

Depends on school.
Some school requires only fee.
Some school requires fee first and then essay for only interview invitees.
Some school requires essay for EVERY applicant.

All depends which school you applied.

UMN was by far the longest essay secondary on my list... they had like 5 or so questions limit with 6000, not 600 characters EACH, not combined. the main AADSAS personal statement is shorter than that...lol.

So I applied to schools without any essay first, submitted short answers next, and worked on longer ones later.
