Do any SMPs/post-bacc programs have a less than 3.0 gpa requirement?

From some research it seems very few. I'm almost at a 3.0, but not quite. I just don't feel like retaking a couple classes and I'd rather participate in an actual program. As weird as it sounds, after a couple years off, I'm dying to be back at school. :/ Thanks!

With GPAs below 3.0, it's very difficult to do what you feel like doing.

C-'s in prerequisite courses, compounded with a low GPA, are an issue that will follow you even if you perform well in a formal program (assuming it does not guarantee acceptance to the host medical school). Do you have an MCAT? Have you considered DO school?

Agree.

Finish the work at hand before you take on more advanced work. What's the work at hand? Demonstrate a lengthy, solid performance in undergrad science. When you have a nice pile of A's in hard science classes that predict success on the MCAT and in med school, then it's appropriate to look at next steps.
