Do any websites keep a list of important/interesting journal articles?

I've always intended to make better use of the access I have to a bunch of scholarly journals via my school, but the prospect of seeking out articles that I'll actually have a chance of understanding (at least a little bit) or finding interesting is a daunting task. Does anyone anywhere keep a list of, for example, the "big" findings in medical research and/or technique/treatment effectiveness studies, or anything of that nature?

Check their News section, articles there are published for general public (science and otherwise). So the language is simple, and concepts are explained instead of taken for granted.

They also have book reviews, letters, blogs, etc.
