do AP classes count towards GPA?

Does AACOMAS accepts AP credit to be included in the calculated GPA or are they simply viewed as a pass/no pass class with no affect on GPA ?

This is how my AP classes are listed on my undergrad. transcript:
AP CALCULUS AB (Score 4, Units 4.0)

They can't be used in your GPA because you didn't get a grade in them. You only got credit for whatever class they were the equivalent of.
