Hello everyone,
I tried searching for this in the forum, but I couldn't find this particular situation. In senior year of high school, I took a multivariable calculus (and another non-math class) at a state college and As. However, I was told that I should re-take multivariable for the pre-med requirements, since you should do them at your home university. I did, and did worse. I got a B. If it's any consolation, it was from MIT (no +/- modifiers in grades), and I'm pretty sure 90% of that class already took the course before too. It's completely my own fault though - the ones who got A's were better at the subject and I should have studied harder -, but I can't change that at this point. My overall GPA is a 4.64/5.00 (which is about a 3.7/4.0), and I did well on the MCAT.
I was wondering how the class would be incorporated into my GPA. Should it be listed as a retake, and how badly does doing worse on a retake look?
Thank you!
