like the ones with multiple weights and a fulcrum weight or ladders? im horrible at those things and all i do is overcomplicate them.

Yes, torque is on the list of covered topics. You will have a hard time creating a problem with less than three object (fulcrum plus two "weights"). Whether that fits your definition of complicated - only you can tell. 🙂
