I was wondering if fellowship programs are expected to pay for your state license and/or DEA number? I'm looking at almost $1,500 for both. Not very friendly on a resident's salary, especially when you consider already having to pay for ERAS, interviews, moving etc.

Your training license in fellowship or full medical license (if you wanted to moonlight or w/e)? I didn't pay anything for training license. I would have had to pay for full license. You should be provided a DEA number for training.

It seems that they require a full license?

They’re having us go through the state website to get it set up.

Training and DEA yes. Full license no. It was a drop in the bucket to be able to moonlight, though.

My program covered medical license (they requires a full license which is nice) and DEAz
