Hi Guys

I want to know what my chances are of getting into DO school for fall 2010.

I did dual enrollment while in high school and i earned a 3.4 gpa during that time. (All classes count as college level classes)
After graduating from the program, I got accepted to Nova Southeastern and i've been here for about 3 years (so i'm ahead one year)
Throughout these years I have accumulated 5 Cs total. I will be taking my MCATS in january and right now im working on getting my letters of rec as well as my personal statement.
I just started volunteering at a veteran's hospital and I'm setting up a DO shadowing.
By the time I apply I will have volunteer experience, a DO shadowing.
i know i dont have my mcat scores yet and that plays a BIG role but so far I would like to know my chances

Also, I dont know if this really matters but I have a radio show at my college radio station and we talk about social and medical issues.

thanks!

I thought the latest accepted MCAT scores for matriculation in the fall 2010 class of any school would be September 2009. So you can't apply this year. Just wait and accumulate the experience as well as take the MCAT and you'll be able to apply to matriculate in the fall of 2011.

There are some schools (MD and DO) that will consider a January MCAT, but I'm reasonably sure they require you to already have a score on the books beforehand. Take the year to get some experience and maybe take an extra couple classes to boost your GPA, if possible. Study like mad for that January MCAT, and retake it in the spring if you aren't satisfied with your score.

thanks for the advice everyone. The deadline for the DO schools that i want to apply to is for April 2nd i believe. So even if i take my MCATS in january I still won't be able to apply?

thanks
