Does anyone know of any radiology programs in the south east (i.e. east of the mississippi, south of maryland) that are known to be DO-friendly? I've found that programs will say they accept applications from DOs, but does anyone know of programs that have actually had DOs as residents?

I'm primarily considering programs in VA, NC, SC, and GA.

have you tried the Mercer program in savannah?

I hope to match in the southeast and someday be able to offer osteopathic physicians more opportunites there. We all worked very hard to make it through medical school and need post graduate radiology opportunities in the southeast. Any program directors out there please give us a chance.

I wasn't able to pull up much info about that program. Do you know if they've accepted DOs?

Outside of the southeast, what programs across the country are known to be DO-friendly (i.e. have definitely accepted DOs in the past)?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't remember if they had any DO residents, but I had interviews a couple years back in the SE.

U Miss

U Florida Jacksonville

Good Luck.

FYI: I've found evidence of Wake Forest and Ohio State accepting DOs in the recent past.

Does anyone else have knowledge of radiology programs that have definitely accepted DOs?

Not sure about radiology in general, but U of Miss and UAB are both fairly friendly to DO residents; which is strange, since both are fairly "stuck in the mud" when it comes to the med school application process. Different departments I suppose... entirely different attitudes.

Again, can't comment about radiology specifically.

Try Emory, and UT-Memphis as well.
