Ok lets start at the beginning...
Unfortunately in high school I was an extremely unmotivated student, I did what I had to do to get by. I still took college prep classes but I passed them with minimal effort and mediocre grades. I am not blaming my high school advisor, but she was pretty ****ty (had to throw that one out there 🙂 ) now that thats done, lets continue. I went to a community college for a year- got decent grades (3.5 cum) Then I left school went out to California for a year to "find myself" (little did I know or want to admit that a 19/20 year old trying to "find themselves" is a useless task). After the year of stupidity I came back home and re-enrolled in school (back to community college), again I got decent grades that year. Then I transferred out of community college (without a degree) to Stockton College (Pomona NJ). I lived on campus and all I cared about what my social life...thus screwing up my grades (2.9) blehhh then left school again... (fast forward 2 years) long story short my life has changed dramatically I finally grew up and decided what I wanted to do with the life I was given. I enrolled back in school and changed my major to Biology with pre-medical concentrations. Fortunately I didn't take any science classes previous to that (so i wasn't able to screw that one up). Currently my science GPA is a 3.8. I have improved and my preceptor seems to think I have a good shot at getting into Med School. But i am extremely paranoid and think that the admissions board at school will look at my career as a student and look down upon it (with all the back and forth) and I won't even interview at any schools..Anyone have any similar experiences?
HELP!
PS I'm 24 and haven't taken my MCATs yet but i plan on taking them in the fall.
