Hey, guys. I'm your average, neurotic, pre-med...and what do you know? I'm asking for advice about getting accepted by a medical school. Below, I have included my stats and a little bit about myself. Let me know what you guys think!

URM
College senior (4.5 years; exercise physiology major; graduating in December)
cGPA: 3.71
sGPA: 3.61
MCAT: 497, 503
Volunteering: ~90 hours at a major hospital and as an organic chemistry tutor
Physician shadowing: ~50 hours within various settings and specialties
Research: ~200 hours within an organic chemistry lab
Miscellaneous experiences: SMDEP at Duke, paid anatomy & physiology tutor, shift supervisor at a grocery store, summer program at Michigan

In addition, I have applied to the following schools:
East Carolina
Duke
Eastern Virginia
Howard
Morehouse
Michigan
UNC

Clinical can be volunteering or work, just has to be a health care setting, although being an ochem tutor would not count.
I mean, I volunteered within the ambulatory surgery unit of a hospital for several months.

Doing what? Interaction with patients/families? Did you mention it in the primary? If not you should have.

When did you apply?

When were you complete?

Any IIs?

Yeah, I spoke to how the experience provided me with a different perspective about bedside manner, in terms of physicians interacting with the family members of patients.

My primary was complete in August, and my secondaries have been complete at various times.

So far, I've received an II from East Carolina and a rejection from UNC.
