I recently turned 24, and I am a Korean American male. I graduated with a B.S. in biology. I have Cumulative gpa of 3.72 and Science gpa of 3.8. My mcat score was a 29(9physics 10verbal 10biology).
I have about 73 hours of volunteering at the hospital(It is not really clinical, just playing video games with children)
I have not shadowed a doctor.
Over 200+ hours as a research assistant.
I am a co author for a published paper.
I worked as a supplemental instruction tutor for my university for a year.
I looked at the aamc statistics but the graph could only show so much. According to my gpa and mcat and ethnicity alone, I stand at a 35.8% chance of acceptance whereas someone African American would have a 75.8% acceptance with my statistics.
Thanks!
