I am at JHU with a 3.1 and 32 MCAT...I'm from New Jersey...do I have a good shot at any osteopathic or allopathic med schools? I have good EC's too.

Yes! I have those numbers and was accepted at three schools and had four interviews. It is a lot of hard work and stress, but you do have a shot.

See if there's any way to pull up that GPA a bit. What school did you go to? The MCAT is great and should give you a great chance. Just make sure you get some good letters of rec and you should be set to have those acceptances rolling in!

u gotta try man. i thought i was a weak candidate at first too, but im in for class of 2008. your mcats are well above average. lor's and interview could make all the difference. Oh, and write a good statement, i think thats what saved my but, or at least i was told i wrote a great statement by interviewers.

I had very similar stats, and got into all the osteopathic schools I applied to.

Make sure when you say that you have good ECs, you really have good ECs. Second, apply early, and this holds for all schools that you apply to. Finally, shine on interviews, show that you really care about medicine, show that you are personable and intelligent.

Good luck, and you will never know unless you apply.

All you need is something to make your application stand out an you are in no problem. Allopathic or Osteopathic. Apply early! Like June!

You should get in. The whole process is a crapshoot sometimes so just apply to whereever you want to go.
