Do I have to take Calc in my frosh/soph years?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
It recommended to get math out of the way as early as possible. This is because over time you forget algebra concepts making calc more difficult. Calc-based or non-calc based physics all depends on which is more relevant to your major, adcoms won't give a damn. Easiness is school dependent, however calc-based is more directed towards engineers and physical science majors ( I.e usually harder and cover much more stuff).

Just get calc 1 over and done with. It doesn't really matter when you take it, but it'll probably make your life that much easier if you take it now.

Also, I think it's widely accepted that non calc-based physics is easier than calc-based.

AP credit is a no no for the pre-reqs, for calc no one will care.
