Do I need my aamc ID on my LoR?

One of my letter writers asked what it was and I thought we didn't need it on the letter.

All I need on the letter are the following correct?

1. Name of writer
2. Content
3. My name mentioned
4. Signature
5. University letterhead

Anything I missed? Thanks a lot guys!

Check individual school policies to be safe, but if you use Interfolio it gives you the option of attaching your AAMC ID to your letter(s) before you send it to AMCAS.

You don't need your AAMC ID on the letter itself. It helps, but it's not necessary. There's also a whole LOR thread here that I would advise reading.
