do i need to retake a 501?

Your stats are very similar to mine, and I've been accepted. I would take the time you'd spend studying and use that to have your application done EARLY. Not having to wait for an MCAT score is a blessing as schools will see your complete application sooner. Spend some time doing shadowing physicians.

I second what jwilliams1993 said. I was accepted with similar stats to a few great DO programs, but my major issue (and the reason I believe I didn't get as many interviews as I had hoped for) was because my MCAT score release was holding my application up. By the time they were released, and the schools actually received them, I was delayed about a month and a half. Doesn't seem like it would hurt you much, but this 100% had a negative impact on my app cycle. If you apply early, I think you'll be totally fine and have plenty of options to chose from! Good luck 🙂

i was accepted with the same MCAT a 26, and a 3.8 gpa, 3.7 science gpa.. got 10interview invites went to 6 interviews, and 5 acceptances and 1 waitlist

Your gpa is above average and if your ECs are decent I say apply early and to 15-20 schools and I think your chances are good. Just make sure you get your app in early.

What is early? I post-poned my mcat till June 18, so I won't be getting my score back till Mid-July.
