hey all,
Im retaking the mcat next week (old score is a 29: 10,8,11) and have yet to inform AACOMAS or AMCAS (yes, applying to both DO and MD) that I am retaking the exam. Do I need to inform AACOMAS of my retake if I am already receiving interviews? Thanks.

Yes, unless you're going to cancel your test. Imo you should also tell those II schools yourself.

out of curiosity, why I am obligated to tell them?

Eh, I would only tell the schools that you are interested in in which you have a less-than-competitive MCAT score.

Otherwise, I would wait until you get your score to tell AACOMAS and AMCAS. Obviously you have to report ALL of your MCAT scores once you have received them.
