Do you stand a chance? Yes
Are you going to be somebody who is going to get interview invites left and right , based solely on this transcript? No
It is going to depend on how well you do on the DAT. At least you didn't get any Fs. Have you ever been put on probation?

A lot of the screening process is dependent of numbers DAT and GPA. The GPA is going to be the one that AADSAS calculated off of this transcript. It's going to depend on recommendations, personal statement and DAT score.

his dat scores are in his predents profile, right next to his avatar. honestly im in the same boat as you with gpa and dat. if i had to pick somehting. i would say you are very borderline and a few things like LOR and EC's can put you on one side or the other. cant wait to see some other people's opinions

you should retake classes you got a C- or lower in. some dental schools do not take C- as a passing grade.

"Please note: C- grades, or lower, are not acceptable"

i was having a hard time reading the transcript. i couldnt tell if you retook those classes.

i looked at your predent profile and you DATs look good.

gpa is the only problem but there isnt much you can do..........you already did a post bac and did pretty good.

the only thing i can think of is apply early (i dont know when you applied) and apply to more schools. 20+?

Your DAT is solid. If I were you I would continue taking courses and making sure I did not receive anything below an A. You need to build up a solid semester or two of solid grades. Your transcript is up and down...A,A,D,C,C etc...some consistency would add some traction in your favor. 3.5 post-bac shows some improvement add some As and raise it up. Also applying early in May will help your chances of getting noticed as well. Not being a international appilicant I can't say for sure but form reading this forum it seems you all are under even more competition than us staters.

Good Luck!

Oh, oversight on my part. Sorry.
ttc23,
take more courses and make sure you ace them. Nothing lower than a B+. Better start cranking out those As.
You might want to consider a masters if you haven't done so.

you got an interview at least, so you're on the right track.

hey blankguy,
what course would you recommend me to take?
and how many should I take for the coming year? (or how many would you take if you're in my shoes..)

Upper level biology courses like anatomy, Genetics, immunology, and Neuroanatomy. In short any upper level biology course that you haven't taken already. I wouldn't take comparative biology courses the ones I mentioned are better choices. As to how many courses? Are you going to be working at all if yes, I would recommend 2 courses. You really don't want to put yourself in a position where you can't handle it and you end up getting mediocre grades. 2 As will do you better than 4 grades that are a mix of As , Bs and Cs.
