got an email frm IU..they say all fall interviews have been fully scheduled and that I will be considered for an interview in Feb next year for nonresidents to fill their out-of-state alternate list and for residents to fill approximately 5-15 open positions as well as the in-state alternate list.
This is bad news right?
someone please advice...
This schools just received the applicaiton packets from AADSAS due to the 6 week wait. Did I apply too late?

I have also applied to Loma Linda, Ohio state, SUNY Buffalo, Nova, University of Louisville.

Alternate list means: Say you are accepted onto the alternate list, if someone confirms an acceptance and the backs out prior to starting school, they may call you and offer you the spot.

Secondly, your numbers are pretty good, you should be able to get into school almost anywhere. I don't know if you applied to late, when did you apply? I believe you can get your stuff in as early as June 1st or something.

ask in pre-dental ... you have a really high chance and in my honest opinion you are not TOO late yet if you are applying for this year

The packet reached the dental schools this week (starting Oct 10). I didnt know about the 6 week wait for AADSAS.

Indiana will interview me for the alternate list and even that they are not sure of. But the guy who emailed me was trying ot be encouraging by saying that many who are accepted in December decline and that there is a high chance of people on the alternate list getting in. Doesnt sound too promising to me.

out of the other schools only OSU responded asking for the certificate showing observation hours. I dont knw why every schools process has to be so different. very frustrating.

i don't understand english good, obviously....are you in-state or not? I know last year they only made it 4 or 5 on the alt list...so if you do ok, then you have a pretty good chance...

...i interviewed in feb. and got in.....
