Hopefully someone can help me. I received a
2.7 cumulative gpa in undergrad and then began the umd sie program. I failed the sie program because of family problems and also because I was in a domestic abuse situation that completely messed me up. I did not report it because I was threatened not to so I don't have any police reports to prove anything. I still tried to stay in the sie program but was academically dismissed after failing 3 classes. I was planning on taking some classes at UNE online but now that grade replacement is gone I'm not sure if I still should.

I was hoping someone can help me on what I should do next? I don't want this to be the reason I can't be a doctor. I'm planning on taking the mcat in either March or April.

I have seen candidates who have failed out of a one SMP, matured and then aced a second SMP. So , it's doable.

I can't recommend doing this, unless you're 100% ready, and that includes making good choices.

I wouldn't take the MCAT until you're really ready.

Strongly concur. Please make sure you are 100% ready before the second SMP OP.
