Thanks to the grade replacement policy going out the window I'd like to know if I still have a chance to get into a DO school?

After this semester if I get all A's I'm looking at 3.01 overall gpa and 3.31 science gpa. Do I still have a chance with these stats? I haven't taken the MCAT yet. But obviously My scores would need to be stellar at this point. but even with a high MCAT (30+) would it still be possible to get accepted somewhere?

It's really hard to assess anyone without a MCAT score, but assuming you do well (510+) AND you have good ECs I think you have a shot this cycle. Your core gpa is bad, but your science is competitive for most DO schools. You'll have to apply broadly to be safe, though. Can't just throw a few apps to CCOM and PCOM if you really want to get in somewhere.

Definitely have a plan B to improve your app next year if it doesn't work this time around.

I know the change sucks. I had a 3.45 sGPA and now mine is at a 3.3 instead also. But I believe as long as you get past the GPA screens, once an adcom looks at your transcripts and sees you retook a lot of coursework they will still look highly on that.

Either way, good luck man.

How steep is your upward trend? With a good MCAT I think you have a chance
