Do I still need a program?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
That would depend greatly on whether you're aiming for DO or MD and if the former, it will still be intrinsic on your MCAT.

If for MD, I'd venture out and suggest doing some broad based GPA calculations using an AMCAS analogous spreadsheet on possible courses that you could take in an informal-post-bacc situation between now and the time that you will apply and to possibly consider an SMP if time is truly an issue.

TPR really worked well for me so I would go out and say that the class is a huge benefit but is it worth the money? That's pretty subjective considering each person has their own financial concerns so if you end up not choosing to attend an actual prep course, there are excellent prep materials like EK or I'm sure you can find someone on SDN trying to sell their TPR/Kaplan materials (copyrighted..)

As for SMPs, I'd suggest you do research. Qualifying for one of those programs really isn't a good way of selecting which ones to apply for but rather which one is appropriate for you in many ways (timeline, cost, location, reputation, etc). If you can bring your GPA up to a 3.0, you have quite a few of options, again dependent on your MCAT but you do have many choices at that point.
