Did anyone see the movie "Super Size Me?" It features a DO gastroenterologist named Lisa Ganjhu. She's a graduate of NYCOM, and is currently an assistant professor of clinical medicine at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.

There are many many many famous DO's, you're definitly not alone =).

I don't know if she's famous per se, but at least the movie helps increase awareness of the fact that DOs are comprehensive physicians who can specialize in fields such as gastroenterology. That is, of course, if the people watching the movie actually care to note the degree listed after the physician's name.
