i just got into utmb and they said i just cant make d's and f's to be admitted. if i got c's, would this hurt me in the future? ie- do residency directors look at your college grades or college GPA? i figured that current students would know. 😕
Yes - it is true that you have to submit your undergrad transcript for the common application to early match specialties such as optho, neuro, plastics, uro, ns, ent. I have had only one residency interviewer ask me about a few of my mediocre grades in undergrad (out of 100 or so interviewers). But, in talking to the other applicants, this interviewer was... well, not well liked.
DAMN! would it hurt if i got a C in a finance class (im a bus major). our bastard prof gives like 40% C's. i have a 3.95 right now but i have a feeling its gonna drop big time this last semester. im sick of studying😡
I saw the section on www.sfmatch.org that mentions that college transcripts are required, but how much weight does it really have with PD's in comparison to more important components like preclinical and clinical grades, USMLE score, and letters of recommendation? I'm guessing that college grades don't matter much. If your grades are that bad, you probably would not have been accepted to medical school.
